  1. Simmer the herbs in the butter.
  2. Cut up the turkey. Leave the legs and thighs connected. Separate out the 3 pieces of the wing and discard the nubby piece that you do not eat. Keep the breast together on the bone.
  3. Put the turkey in the roasting pan and pour the butter-herb mixture on top.
  4. Cook the turkey at 325°F. It takes around 15 minutes per pound, but remove each piece when it reaches 165°F.
